Main ideas
LI: to identify the main ideas in the text.
To continue our learning of Matariki, and the Maori story of Creation our task was to create a DLO explaining the main ideas of the story of how maui slowed the sun. We watched a video explaining the story of how maui slowed the sun and why.
Maui and the villagers weren’t able to finish off their tasks during the day because the sun went by too fast. They got sick of it so maui and his brother made a plan to slow the sun. They used flax ropes and he magical jawbone Maui was given by his grandmother.
i like this actviete because it helps the students with their Maine Ideas to talk more infromation about how maui slowed the sun

Diana-Facts about Matariki
Today we have make a DLO about Matariki the Maori new years And in my group is , Me , Jonathan,Fanini, Naveah, So we have beening team work to finish our DLO about the DLO I have made and It was hard because it made me think about what I have learnt about . An I learnt that Matariki means spending time with your family .
