Vincent Van Gogh timeline

LI: To create a timeline to show the life of Vincent Van Gogh.

Made with Padlet

My group worked collaboratively using Padlet to create a timeline about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh was an artist from the post impressionist movement which meant he liked to paint still life paintings that captured a moment in time. We found it really interesting that while he was alive he didn't sell many paintings but in 1990, 100 years after his death, a painting by him sold for $82.5 million!

Dance Class 1

This week we had dance class.Dance is  expression, me and my body, movement, creativity, and there's no wrong or right way to do dance. Our dance teacher was Mrs Rebecca our theme for today's dance class was me and my body.So when she said that she meant you had to make shapes and movements with different parts of your body.First we had a warm up game.We had to copy every dance move that she done. After that we had to get into a group of 6, 7, or eight but we had a groups of six. We had to be a group with boys and girls, we also had to name our team and our team name was team Barbie girl.We went through the alphabet, but the trick was we had to make the letters with everyone in our group. This was fun and best experiments.

Life Education

LI: To understand why it is important to make wise choices

For our sessions with Nicole in the Life Education caravan we talked  about why it is important to make wise choices if the things around us were not wise choices. We also learnt that stress, anger, feeling sad and peer pressure sometimes mean that we don't make wise choices. We sent an email to Cappy to help him do the right thing.

6 Sentence Story

L.I Use 6 sentences to set up the structure of a narrative

Bob is playing Piano inside the machine late at  night, he could feel the passion from the music. The piano keys shone in the night light. Bob didn’t need to use any music sheets, he knew all the notes.Tonight the piano was making some strange noises and the music sounded like glass breaking.Bob was scared  the building was falling down and he was frightened for his life.He kept playing hoping the noise would go away and finally it stopped.

Today my group wrote 6 sentence stories to help us take risks with our writing. We did this by sharing our ideas and writing sentence that drop hints about what was happening in the picture we chose to write about. We helped each other by suggesting ideas to each other to make our stories more interesting.
