Kiwi can

This week for Kiwi Can we talked bout what we did over the term. We had to say what our favorite thing about Kiwi Can was. I said that I liked every topic we did. We got to do a challenge where we had to memories the catch phrase that we did over the term. The first catch phrase was for "Respect for our School" The catchphrase went like this "Kiwi Can Says, Take pride, in who you are, respect your school and you'll go far." The second catchphrase was for "Respect for our Community" The catch phrase went like this "Kiwi Can Says, Come in unity, for our community" Then the last one was "Respect for our Environment" The catchphrase went like this "Kiwi Can Says, Respect our waters, air and trees, Keep it tidy, Keep it clean".

Kiwi Sport

Today for kiwi sport we did our last session of boxing .
We practiced our combinations of jab, cross, uppercut
We worked in pairs and did some boxing where one of us had the noodles and our partner was boxing.

over the week of boxing and we had to work in partners the whole time.

Today for Maori we did coloring our picture and then we had to put it in maori
and i have done one picture but i haved  done the other picture.

Today for kiwi can we talk about respect our school and respect our  community and then we play
a game called visible ruby and it when you get in to two lines and when the kiwi can people said
1 or 2 and 3 , 4 then you had to run to your poal and go around it and the kiwi can person said
your name then the other team need to  touch you and then they got the ball and we lose.

In our Maths video we made $10 using $1 notes. Miss Morrison gave me 10 $1 notes, and I exchanged them for one $10 note.

Today we did fruits and then you had to say it in Maori

      L.l Boxing Combination.                                                                                                                  Today for Kiwi Sport we were learning to put the punches we have already learnt together to make a combination.

The first combination was Jab, Jab, Cross. Then jab, jab, cross, left hook, then jab, jab, cross, left hook, right hook. Finally we did jab, jab, cross, left hook, right hook, left uppercut, right uppercut.

At Kiwi Can this week we talked about respect for our community (home, emergency services etc) and the we played a game called remote.  The rules of remote are following instructions from the teacher.  We also played invisible touch.  The way that you play invisible touch you  have to touch the person  next person how has the ball  and if you touch the person you now have the ball.  This week we had to make a google slide.the teacher shared us the max Gimblett work
we had to right were max Gimblett came from we had to right were he was born.
we also had to fid what max Gimblett did in 2015 and 2016.we found the info about max Gimblett
we had to fide a picture but it cant be art work we only had to put in one art work. then we had to fide a picture of a church. 

ArmisTice

   Today for inquiry we were researching Armistice Remembrance. We completed the slides above and we  listened to the videos of the Last Post - there was a base Guitar and the bugle then we had to get a picture and put it into the 4th slide. 
We are having a Remembrance Day at school on Friday and I'm looking forward to it.

Today we went to kiwi can.we first got into 4 lines then we went straight into our energiser we played this game were we had to get into a circle.then we had to have a ball that was good shape not a big ball a ball that was a soccer ball.then we had to put the ball into the middle of the circle then the teacher had to put us into 123 and 4.then when the teacher called out the numbers we had to run then when we had to come back into our places and get the ball whoever gets the ball first wins.

L.l  To learn about the causes,conflict and resolution to World war 1

Today me and Akuhata did the a slide called World war 1 interactive netbook. There were 11 slides and me and Leroy did the main slide. M is for Militarism, A is for Alliances,I is for Imperialism and N is for Nationalism. A Militarism is a belief that you need to spend a lot of money on defence and to build up a military. Alliances is a relationship in which people agree to work together. Imperialism is the practice of a large country or government stronger by taking over poorer or weaker countries that have important resources.  The Immediate cause of world war 1 was when gavrilo principle assassinated archduke franz ferdinand. 

Kiwi Sport , Boxing

                                                            L.l Respect, discipline safety
For Kiwi Sport we are learning how to box. First thing we learnt were the three commandments, Respect, discipline and safety. Then we put our liners on and put the boxing gloves on. Next we learned the rock position, this is right leg out, right leg back and hands on our face under eyes. The first punch we learnt was a Jab which is left hand straight out, then the Cross is right hand straight out, turn your hips and your right heel lifts up.
Boxing was lots of fun.

For Kiwi Can we talk about Respect and respect is you being a good friend and be a kind person then we play a game called tag and how you play it when you run away from the tagger then if the tagger got you then you had to go to the line then we sit on the mat then we play rollply  how to play it so 

you say some thing make you body move and you will need a new student and old student and teacher

and i learn by using respect at school and being kind.

Writing

Today we had to pick a topic I rit how to make a cake we had to explain how we could how make a cake  properly
then we had to do the materials list.then we had to get picture so people
could see.    

Inquiry

This week for inqiury we had to create a DLO about plans to make diffrent walls, The walls we had to write about and make a plan about were - Rammed earth wall, Stone wall, Castle wall & a Palisade. This week my group had to make plans about walls, These plans were surpose to help build a walls and the materials we had to use were sand, Cardboard & toothpicks.

This week when we finished creating a DLO with the information about building walls we had to make our own wall, We had to pick a wall that was diffrent to the castle wall and The walls my group picked was the Rammend earth wall and the castle wall. When we were knoking down our walls we had to wirte down how much times the walls had been hit.

Practice

Today for this  I did practice  I did 2-3 I did it one go this is so easy to do  and if you don't now  what it is  here is a link to it  for you can see  and the link to is different to the one that is  I tape it is the some but different spell .Great here it is    if you chick here  you can see lot of things for maths .

Keyboarding

This week we did keyboarding we had to do it and i got 734 and i got lot and then we had to blog it and then we were done.

Kiwi Sports

L.I to learn how to swim.

For Swimming we had lots of fun. We did lots of things such as: Kicking practise with board, Face in water, Straight leg kicks, Swimming on back, Swimming underwater, Jellyfish, Horse race, Help balance in water. We all did these methods one at a time and we had learnt more and how to do the method more properly. My favorite method is the jellyfish. The hardest method has to be the horse race to keep us better running under the water.

LI: to persevere.

This week for kiwi can LS1 group a won! If you don't know what I am talking about I can tell you, every kiwi can we do we get points if we were being respectful, participating, encouragement and etc.

We got to choose two games to play at kiwi can. The first game that we played was invisible rugby I already explained it but if you don't know how to play invisible rugby look on my last blog about kiwi can you will get all the information you need.

The other game that we played was hand soccer, is exactly like soccer but we can only use one hand, we can't throw or hold the ball. This week I learned by going to kiwi can.

Defensive structures

For the defensive structure there was visitor the visitor name was Isaac. Isaac was teaching us bombs , dumb bombs and smart bombs. After we learned about exoplasive the exoplisive we learned are dynamite ,land bomb after we watch a video how does the shock wave start and exploded. After we had  a challange the challange we had to build a structure that made of 8+ straws and 1 piece  of paper after we had a swimming board Mr.Wong, Mr. Ogilvy and Isaac had to hit in both side to make the helicopter to die.

Duffy

I: to see how reading gives a amazing result

Yesterday we had Duffy Assembly and our guest was Micheal Mulipola. He was a comic artist. He told us that when he was little, he wanted to be a comic artist. So that was what he became. He showed us a lot of his work on a slide show. His inspiration was from School Journals. Micheal even illustrates School Journals and we have them too.

He also told us that he was in big gaming event. He was playing Tekken against other people. He ended up losing but he was in the twelve percent of best Tekken player. So he was a semi professional tekken player.

Micheal was also a big wrestling fan. His favorite wrestling star was The Rock. Micheal also has illustrated books for the WWE. He has illustrated some WWE books and a magazine. Sol Micheal kinda worked for the WWE. Micheal also said he was a Professional Wrestler. Micheal was part of the NZ Professional Wrestling Entertainment. He was once the Heavyweight champion and had the tag team championship. He has also me WWE superstars like Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, AJ Styles and more.

Then later he gave us each class a box full of our duffy books.

Time table

This week for Daily six I created a google draw and did my twelve times tables, nine times tables, eight times tables and seven times tables. The reason I did these times tables is because I needed to practice them so I can get better at it and I can answer it in a second. I learnt how to do this by skip counting. My twelve times tables were really hard but in the end I got it. My nines times tables were really easy because the tens are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9, 10 and ones were 8, 9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. My eight times tables were kind of hard but really easy in the end and my seven times tables were really easy because I practice them

Ll To learn about technologies that overcome earthworks fortifications

For inquiry we had to learn about structures in war which is all the structure that the allies used in WW1 - 2. Today we had to answer all the questions that were about our learning. We had five questions and we did this by looking on the slide we had made.

This week for writing we had to go on websites and take a screen shot of the writing and explain what it is. We had to make this on a google draw. So when you took a screen shot of a title then you have to create a text box beside it explain how you know its a tittle.

Today we went into two different group My groap we had to panr up with Dog man David he red A Wife for Te Ra and i red Kahu and Hokioi we were post to visualise what we sed. 

   

   

Swimming

This week for swimming it was the last week for this term. We went to the YMCA swimming pools. We first got into our groups and started off on our practise staff.

We first did the streamline witch was when we have to breath and roll on to our back. So both hands on each other same as the arms and then we have to try and cover our ears. Also legs have to get underwater not on the water or it will make really big splashing.

Then after that lesson we started to do jelly fish wich was to lye on our backs look straight up and scall under water. Also we had to push our belly up and our legs so we can float. Then we started doing swim then we had to duck dive. Then we did the feet first and then scalling all the way to the platform.
Then we could do what ever we want to swim to the other side.

But at the end we all had fun for the last swimming.

Ll to learn perseverance.

Today for kiwi van we played to games and those games where in viable tag and the last game is tangle  and the games that we played was to keep trying and never give up on some thing that you want to have in the future.

Key Boarding

This week for the Key/Hand I did Typing Practice. I have the speed of 33. This is good for typing fast when you need to do work fast before something happens then you can finish. I am also fast at speed typing when it comes to typing. Here is the link to typing practice:

For Inquiry we had to look at technology that have use of gunpowder. We had learnt about hand cannons and how they were made. We all looked close into this weapon and found out of how it works. If you go to the last slide then you can see on the top right photo how the gunpowder and bullet get placed.

                                  Today for swimming we had to sit down on the wall. Then
                                  we had to come down safely in the water then we had to get
                                   a board in each line. We have to stand on the wall and one
                                   person have to swim in the water through the swimming
                                  teachers. After that we have to go on the other pool where
                                   are the small pool. And then we have to make a circle and
                                run around the circle to make a word pool. After that we
                                   have to come back to the big pool to do the last one.
                                   We have to catch the toy in the water to get it form the
                                  ground. Then we have to play the last game we have to
                                  get in to a line then we have to swim and clap the
                                   teachers hand then we have to clamb up
                                           the ladder.

Kiwi Can

     or kiwi can we were learning perseverance. Perseverance means that we had to not give up. For our 1st game was adult master this game is smailler to the game master. How does this game  works  we had to sit down on the mat after the Master have to start anyway after when the master is near you had to add the numbers togeter after we have to say the number after it was our 2nd game. Our 2nd game was Card tower how does this game works is thet we had to be in 4 different groups and we had to work as team and make tower.
