Reading

 

LI. To figure out information from the clues in the text.
For reading we learnt how to infer (inferring) by figuring out information from the clues in the text that we read. What is inferring ? (is when you figure out information from clues in the text.)
We had to do a task by using inferring called understanding inferring better.
This task also had to use different reading skills like Prior knowledge, personal experience to help you make connection between the clues in the text to then infer. well today lessons was fantastic and I can't wait to do more inferring.

Basic Facts

LI: to remember basic facts
For Basic Facts I had to answer equations which are either Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication. I  did Multiplication equations. It took me 3 minutes and 2 seconds to finish all the questions

                 

Patupaiarehe

LI:to learn about patriarchate fairies and geography of Arrogate.
Patriarchate are fairies that live in forest,in dark and in shadows and comes out at night.
They have powers like magic,they are strong and can play musics.
The patriarchate hide in the day time because the sun will destroy them.We learn about Aotearoa and patriarchate by listening to the story of Engage and searching for information,using Google slides

LI: to use the appropriate register when communicating online
Informal Language is casual speech. Formal Language is professional talk, like you mean business and not talking slang. You would usually say Informal Speech with your friends, and Formal Speech at a job interview or meeting.

  LI: to develop body movements of balance, rotation and strength
We first started off by playing Tag but we had to navigate around in specific ways like hop around with one leg. We then did some stretches. We did the L - Shape, Seal, Butterfly, Cat, Straddle.

We then did another rotation. But some of the activities were different.
Rotation One: There was a beam to walk backwards on then do a little jump, tips Coach Steven gave us was not to look back because it would ruin the balance, and tap the surface to see if you've walked it. We also had to cartwheel across or along a line. Lastly there was another beam we had to do a forward roll on. We had to do a dive roll which was front rolling off the stage. We then had to do bunny hops on a beam.

Rotation Two: There was a trampoline to jump on and we had to go as high as possible then land, then front roll. We then had to do a backwards roll. After we had to do scorpion handstands, then a full handstand, and a tuck handstand. Lastly jump of a board and do a 180 spin in the air.

Rotation Three: We had to do a handstand on a wall on bars. We then went on bars held ourselves on it. Next there were parallel bars and we had to hold our touching our bottoms then swinging. Lastly there was a beam and we had to do a Front, Back, and Side Support rotation.

Activity: using skipping ropes,balance a ball by working together . Once it was balanced Perform simple tesk we need to touch to a window. Without the ball dropping.

Number line

L.I: to solve addition questions and addtempt subtraction using place value on a number line
This week for maths we started on our Number lines. First we started on Number line. We had to count in 2's. When I was finished, my next one was number line addition 2. This one was a bit different because the question was 560+389. I had to put 389 up the top because its the smallest number and I had to put 560 under the number line because its the biggest number. The first one I had to put 40 on the top of the line because 60+40=100 so I made 600. Then I put 300 on top of the line because 6+3=9 so the answers 900. Then we put 40 to make 940. The the last number we had to add was 9 and the answer was 949.

What is a  End result?
A End Result is one or two sentences that tells  what is going to be made or done.

How I learned by Listing to my teacher and asking for the End result about what I have done.

kiwi sport

L.I to develop body movements of balance, rotation and strength.
For a start we had to do stretches. The stretches we did were: L shape, Seal, Butterfly, cat, straddle and back, front, side support. On each we had to push our self to feel the burn.

We had three rotation the first rotation had: going backwards on the beam, cartwheel on the box, cart wheel on the stage and forward roll on the bench. The second rotation had: star jumping off the trampoline, backwards roll down, 1 leg/scorpion hand stand and the half/180 jump.The last rotation had: Hand stand against the wall, front support, parallel bars and back/side/front rotation. We then ended with telling the most difficult part of the challenges.

Maori

Tittle Ihenga.
LI.To learn about  patupaiarehe fairies and the geography of Aotearoa.
Patupaiarehe are forest that live in North Island.They have magic powers like special knowledge.The patupaiarehe we learnt about today live on North Island.We learnt about patupaiarehe and fairies by listening to the story of Aotearoa and searching for information,and using google maps.

Kiwi Can

LI: To use integrity and honest
staying and not telling the truth is not always good, but telling the truth or help a friend to solve the bad problems must be done.

we did a drama activity to show people's emotion in different situation like when a lie is told or when your not honest to people won't be good.

Patupaiarehe and the Mountains

LI: To learn the geography of Aotearoa and to identify what patupaiarehe are.
Mt Maungauni is a mountain in tauranga. The Hunua and the waitakere rangers are Mountains in new Auckland. Patupaiarehe are fairies that lived on these mountains in moari myths.
I learnt about the patupaiarehe and the mountains by listening to two story's ,The Legend of Mauoa and The Turehu wars. I learnt where the mountains are by going onto google maps.

Kiwi Can

LI: to define what honesty is.
This week for kiwi Can we went to kiwi Can and we need to have four lines and then we had a talk about honest and honest mean tell the true and is ilke when you lie to your friend  and your friend new catchphrase, the catchphrase goes like this: Talk to me truthfully, that is called honesty. The energiser today focused most about telling the truth and being honest. By playing the game we were given three actions to do, and there is one person who picks an action, if you do the same action as the person you are out, there can only be one winner. The activity was to make a play about a specific scenario, the scenario was about honesty, you can watch the play up above. This week I learned by going to kiwi can and learning about honesty.

Reading

                                       L.s.1 we learnt about making connections with self and world and other book for this week.
For this task i made  connections with self because my nephew has a mobile. I finish 3 slide and made 4 connections and making  connection to the world and within myself and to  another book .I read   the book we read was called making a mobile. The words i learn  were the most important  foil  glow CD and paper clip  and now i have to right a blog post and here is my slid so this was all about making connections this is my reading work .

This term for writing we made a writing of a procedural we learned by talking about it so we could understand some information of what it means then we had to make a google draw and there is five parts of a procedural writing text and it is a structure the structure is title, end result, materials, pictures and steps this is the structure of a procedural writing. These are the things that i color coded and the other thing are what is a procedural.

Today we had our first lesson of maori term 2 with miss Whea Odie .
At first we Miss Whea Odie Read us a book .
Then after that we had to get our chrome books and go on google maps and search up Kaimani , Waimpou river , Maungatapu ,And Hoiriri .
After that we had to make a pepeha about yourself.
