KO wai ahaua?

 


Ki Orana 

I am Diana and I am Cook Island and Maori. I am 12 years old and have three older sisters and one brother. I love to eat Rukau which is a Cook Island  food.  I like to watch Anime my favorite ones are Akame ga Kill,one piece, beastars, Adventure of Sinbad and Shokugeki no Soma. Running is my favourite sport and I also like skipping. I like listening to kpop my favorite is black pink, exo ,twice, txt. This year my goal is to show kindness and be confident.

Nga Mihi/Te Reo Challenges

LI To create a visual mihi that allows others to connect to us and our place in the world.

At this time of year when we are meeting new people we are still getting to know each other. One way we can do this is by sharing our mihi. This way others will know who we are and will be able to make connections to us and our place in the world I found this activity fun because I learn about it and make information about Nag Mihi.

CyberSmart

 LI: So the listened that i learnt for when i first got taught how to use my Chromebook.




Today i learn about how we get some information about cyber smart and getting tips about how we gonna work on our Chromebook. I enjoy learning more about the cyber smart because how it showing me that i will be a really good role model.

Panda Research

 LI: To make a DLO to show information about Pandas.


Today i make a DLO to show about the Giant pandas first we get a google draw and then we have to make interesting information about the giant panda after that then we put a picture of the panda i enjoy it because it teaching and showing me more facts and information about the giant panda.

Place Value

Today i learn how to put each numbers in the place value and it helps me to understand more about trying new things and to solve number problem.

This challenge was to think outside the box and be creative by creating a picture from the lines that were drawn on the DLO. To complete this task we were asked to continue the drawing and create an image. i enjoy this DLO because it was really good for me to learn new things.



Maths addition and Subtraction

LI: To find and use the most efficient strategy to answer the question.


This week we were practicing our addition and subtraction strategies. We had three levels of questions to choose from and had to decide after reading the questions which level challenged us the most. I have created DLO to show the strategy I used to solve the question I enjoyed answering. Which strategy would you have used?

After using our smart searching skills to find out what optical illusions are we were challenged to create our own opitical illusions i enjoy it because it understand how optical illusions works and getting more information.






Virtual Adventure

 LI: To plan a virtual trip around the world



This week challenge was to create a map using google/mymaps and drop pins on the locations visited. The next part of this challenge was to find the capital city of each place and include it in the information in the pin. 

the place i want to visit the most is cook islands because it is the most beautiful island that a  dateline in the Pacific Ocean, the Cook Islands has long attracted travelers with the promise of crystal-clear water, a diverse marine life, and a strong connection to Polynesian culture. But now there's another reason to visit: a focus on sustainable tourism.
