This week for SSR Selfie i did the book called Who’s for dinner my part was when the animals make  a plan to make the fox away from the farm.



Describing things

LI: To learn how to describe picture.This week for writing we are doing describing thing.The thing i learnt was learning about how to describe things.What we had to do was that we had to describe the picture that is on the slide and say word and making sentence

Maths

This week for maths we had to measure these shapes.The we learn Area and perimeter.

Kiwi Can

LI: To focus more (not get distracted)

We learned how to not get distracted. Distracted means to fall out of focus. Many things can distracted us like people talking or physically annoying each other . To learn about distracted we played a game called Distraction Circle.To play it we needed five  people. They  have to circle a person in the middle. The four people had  a job to distract the middle person . 1 person had to sing and 1 person had to draw a number on the middle persons back, 1 person had to tell a story and 1 person had to do  actions that the middle person copied. The hardest part for me was being distracted from the front  person that was doing the actions.

Reading

  LI: To comprehend and answer what questions.
 This week for my reading i did what question.what i learned was answering what question. what we had to do was that my group and the huskies group had to answer 1 question every slide. the favorite thing that i liked about my reading is that my group had to answer 1 question on every slide.

SSR Selfie

This week for SSR selfie.My book was about Yes we can book.The thing i learnt is when they were doing   a leave mountain. The character that i liked in this book was kangaroo rat duck.


Main idea bank

 LI: to summaries a book using the main ideas.
This week we did main idea bank then we had to read the book and find key word and the slide we had to find keyword and make keywords in to sentence on the main idea.

Speech finals

Today it was the speech finals.There were 12 kids that were
in the finals. The judge came to PBS to judge the speakers.
My favorite poem was Earth Day because we can make the
earth clean so we don’t have pollution in the ocean. 
We can pick up rubbish so the birds in the sky do not eat it.
My favorite speech was Fau’s because if we talk to a person
and if they answer to you and say something don’t ignore it
say something. 



Inquiry

                                             LI: To develop knowledge of the Incline Plane
This week for inquiry we had to do An Incline plane is an angle with one side lower than the other and is used to transport objects and more. me and partners had to use toy cars and use Incline Planes to see how the toy car would react in action going down an Incline Plane.

There were tests using Incline Planes to see how it would make things easier to carry etc. We had to see how the Incline Plane would make it easier to carry a person in the class. Ong, Chris, etc. (Light people).

In partners/groups, we had to complete this draw explaining Inclined Planes, why Incline Planes make it easier to move things and an example of an Incline Plane in our everyday lives

LI:To learn self control

This week for kiwi Can we had our Resilience means coping at the challenge and bouncing back.Our topic for the next couple of weeks is Self Control. Self Control, is controlling your emotions, your actions and more in a positive way. Our activity was trying to do four challenges. We had to do each challenge in a minute, we had to do them by not stressing out, and we had to try to control ourselves when doing it. Then we did some challenges like write the alphabet backwards and 5 push up, 5 squats,5 set up and 5 burpies then we did another one called colors in maori and them catch phrase and is say kiwi can says  control yourself don't shout

kiwi Can over and out.  then we did  The hardest challenge was the catch phrase in new action because we have to think hard to get some actions. We overcome it by getting ideas from our teammates and they share that ideas to us.

Cybersmart .

 Ll:To apply the print design rules.

This week for Cybersmart we had to fix four posters and every poster has a bad area of the print design rules. We did colour first. The colour was clashing and the colours also didn't match so it hurt my eyes. Next we had to fix the text. The text had different fonts and it didn't look pleasing. After that we had to fix the layout. The layout of the third poster was not good because the images went out of the margin, the text was overlapping the text boxes and the images were not aligned. For the last poster we had to fix the composition. The compisition wasn't balanced. There was one photo and pieces of information. I added more photos, there was too much white space and there was no title.

Maths

LI: to do shapes on A and P


This week for maths we were doing shapes on our Maths book. Mr Ogilvy showed us how to do the A and P on the shapes. The A means the addition in heeps of numbers. And the P means 2 numbers in multiplication. We had to do 5 shapes that were rectangles and square. After I did the shapes i had to do the addition and multiplication. Then I had to go to the next one.


Writing

LI: to write a quick persuasive speech 

This week we were doing the same thing that we did last week but i had to chance the sentence. So we had to persuade Mr Wong differently.

Reading

This week i was doing SSR selfie. My book what will do if i can't tie my shoe i read it for 15 mins and then i did some work about it.



Maths

LI: to make 3D shapes using paper.

This week for maths we were doing 3D using paper. The 3D shape we were making was a perymid and cube. Mr Ogilvy showed us how to draw the lines. So then we got a paper and we drawled the lines then we had to draw some tabs so we know were to fold them.

Kiwi Sport

LI: to learn our new swimming lesson.

For the Swimming lesson we were talking about the swimming ability that we were doing from last week.

The swimming ability:

  • Starfish floating with noodle
  • Floating on back with noodle
    • Push stomach up
  • Sculling hands
  • Pencil dive

Then we played a game called I like. instruction of I like: What ever Livy says what we like that means we had to to the Pencil dive in the water.

Writing

This week we were doing steam. The steam we were doing was Rube Goldberg. The words we were doing was when ,who, why, when, where, how and what. I was doing it with my group. When i typed up information about when i went on we had to found information.

This week for Reading we were learning about a main idea . We leaned about it by reading a book and using a main idea bank. Then we had to find key words for a main idea sentence.
The book that we choose was Tigers . We had to skim read the book.

Kiwi Can

LI: to learn about Emotions and how they affect people.


Some emotions i feel were happiness sadness ranginess happy  can make you funny and slime to your mum or dad.

We learned about the affects of emotions by acting it out.

Room1

 L.I To Help kids and finish some work done.
This week I did not go to Motat  trip I went to Rm 1. I fist went on my chrome book stated fishing my work next I went on to a video chat witch I shouldn't went on so this week I will doing cyber-Smart not video chatting because it could be bad.
I went to help some kids that didn't get there work next we had to take the kids to see if their  know there number we went to go outside for dragonflies then we can play around .Then we put some funny outfit Next we did some snow number then we sack it on the withes broad. And then we did some song called phoices and i other song called baby shark.

Kiwi Sport

LI: To learn how to have good swimming abilities.

For swimming we learnt the stream line. The stream line is when you put your arms in the air and put it together. Then you glide in the water. We also learnt how to float on our backs and we Kicking with arms forward on board then we Moving underwater and then we Submerging, picking up toy.





Maths

                                      LI:To name and describe polygons and other plane shapes This week we had to make a sled for 2D and 3D. Then we had to make 3D shape and it was good.
